Your Council

The District Council of Grant was created on 1 July 1996, following the amalgamation of the District Councils of Mount Gambier and Port MacDonnell. It is situated in the South Eastern corner of South Australia and incorporates areas of farming, forestry and coastline.

Through responsible management of its resources, the District Council of Grant provides excellent facilities, a high standard of service and effective representation to its ratepayers. Council continues to develop its links with the community and provides this web site to strengthen and facilitate this communication.

With this web site, our aim is to provide the local community with information about our Council and its achievements, to assist ratepayers, developers, organisations and interested persons with information relating to economic development in the area, and to provide information to prospective visitors to this District.
