Airport

The Mount Gambier and District Airport is located on the Riddoch Highway (also known as Penola Road), 12kms north of Mount Gambier on the Limestone Coast of South Australia.

Since its inception in 1936 the Airport has been host to scheduled airline transport with World War II forcing the only interruption to these services.  During that time the Airport served as a RAAF training base.  A history of the Airport can be found by clicking here.

The Airport is owned by the District Council of Grant, having acquired responsibility for the Airport from the Federal Government on the 1st July 1989.

More information can be found on the Airport’s website at www.mountgambierairport.com.au
