Food Inspections

Food premises are inspected for food hygiene and handling practices and to ensure food sold is fit for human consumption (as per the Food Act 2001, Food Regulations 2002 and the Food Safety Standards).

Further information and assistance in regard to food standards and food premises is available from Council's Environmental Health Officers.
