Draft DAIP for District Open for Feedback

Published 24th August 2020
The District Council of Grant is seeking community feedback on a draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2020 – 2024.

The DAIP sets out Councils commitment to making communities and townships in the district welcoming and inclusive for everyone to enjoy. The aim of the DAIP is to provide a framework to improve access and inclusion for all people in the community in relation to the following areas:

* Information and Communication

* Built Environment and Facilities

* Employment

* Programs and Services

The Draft DAIP is available in pdf document for feedback at https://yoursaydcg.com.au/disability-access-and-inclusion-plan or hardcopies are available on request from the Port MacDonnell Community Complex or the Commercial Street Office.

Feedback can be provided via the online feedback form, through an online fillable form, or the form can be downloaded and mailed or returned in person to PO Box 724 Mount Gambier SA 5290.

There is the opportunity to attend a 1-1 meeting or have a phone chat with a Council staff member if members of the public would like to give feedback in a different way. Please contact 8721 0444 or email info@dcgrant.sa.gov.au to arrange an appointment.

The COVID-19 pandemic has limited the ways we can consult, so we encourage the community to share this consultation opportunity with their networks so Council can get broad input and feedback.

Public consultation on the plan will close Friday 2 October 2020.
