Tour of the Great South Coast

Come out and support the young guns of Australian Cycling!

The 2019 Tour of the Great South Coast (Stage 3), part of Cycling Australia’s National Road Series, will start and finish in Port MacDonnell in August.

Stage 3 of the Tour will see Competitors complete 5 laps from Port MacDonnell to Allendale East via Riddoch Highway, Old Boundary Road, and Smiths Road starting and finishing in Sea Parade.

The course provides spectators an opportunity to view more of the racing than one loop would provide.  The start, finish and presentations will be uploaded live to the internet.

Local businesses in Port MacDonnell and Allendale East will be able to offer you a warm spot to watch from and some great food and coffee!

Stage 1 of the Tour starts on Tuesday 27 August in Mount Gambier and finishes in Portland on Sunday 1 September.  For further information regarding the tour visit:

Road Closures During the Event

SAPOL, Council and race coordinators will organise rolling road closures as the race passes through Port MacDonnell, Allendale East and district on Wednesday 28 August between 11am and 2.30pm (approx.) Part of Sea Parade will be closed 9.00am-11.30am and 1.30pm-4.00pm.
