Community Grants Scheme

The District Council of Grant Community Grants Scheme is for community groups to develop projects and events that enhance community well-being and increase participation in social and leisure activities.

At the Ordinary Meeting on Monday 18 September 2023, Council endorsed an increase to the Community Grants Scheme funding pool to $80,000 (+$16,000). Additional amendments were endorsed based on feedback from the public in 2022, some include the addition of Community Participation as a new category for small groups, consolidating the Halls and Community Groups category and the Community Funding & Support budget be aligned to 2.0% of Council’s General Rates in future year’s budget setting.

Council staff are excited to announce the re-launch of the program for 2023-2024. Key information about the amended grants scheme can be found on the Round 1 Fact Sheet. Additional information, including a copy of the Application Pack and Guidelines, will be uploaded to the Round 1 project page on Your Say DCG as it becomes available.
