Volunteering

The District Council of Grant offers community members the opportunity to participate in projects and/or activities that support the social and environmental outcomes for our communities.

Volunteering is a way for people to become involved in their community in a way that is interesting, personally satisfying, productive and fun.Volunteering can:

  • Be full-time or part-time
  • Teach you new skills
  • Provide an opportunity for you to meet other people
  • Allow you to share your skills with others
  • Add variety to your work experience

In the District Council of Grant, people are already making a difference by volunteering in a wide range of tasks which assist Council in providing essential services and programs:

  • Port MacDonnell Community Complex
  • Youth On Wheels
  • Reserve maintenance
  • Tourism and Cultural activities

Please contact Council for more information on our current volunteering opportunities or if you have any further enquiries. If you are interested in volunteering opportunities beyond Council, the Limestone Coast Volunteer Service provides a regional service for volunteering with a Resource Centre located in Naracoorte South Australia and an Information hub located in each Council area.
