The Mount Gambier and District Saleyards are located 10km east of Mount Gambier on the Princes Highway, Glenburnie.

The Mount Gambier and District Saleyards Masterplan 2018-2028 provides a framework and forward plan to assist with good management, consultation and sustainable outcomes for the region.


Electronic National Vendor Declaration

Electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD) are a legal document that are key to Australian red meat traceability and market access, and act as movement documentation throughout the value chain.

Did you know you can now complete livestock consignments on your phone and transfer them without mobile coverage to a receiver? There is a new eNVD Livestock Consignments app – a mobile, offline solution for completing LPA National Vendor Declarations.


European Union Prime Eligible

Mount Gambier and District Saleyards are now European Union (EU) Prime eligible.  This means that EU eligible cattle can now be sold at the weekly sale.  For information on EU eligible cattle, click here.


National Livestock Identification System

The National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) is in place at the Mount Gambier and District Saleyards and all stock must have their NLIS tag attached. For information on the National Livestock Identification System click here.
