Projects

Through Council's annual budget process, funds are allocated to a range of different projects within the district which can include, but are not limited to:

  • Construction of roads and structures;
  • Upgrades to existing assets and infrastructure;
  • Maintenance of amenities; and
  • Projects of significance in terms of financial and/or community benefits.

All infrastructure projects are outlined with various Masterplans and projects that are to be executed during the current financial year can be found within the current Annual Business Plan and Budget.

Council's Strategic Management Plan 2020-2030 also outlines the vision, mission and strategies for our district and communities over the next 10 years. It is the primary reference point from which Council's functions, actions and priorates will be developed, and out budget and resources allocated.

The District Council of Grant recognises that people have a right to be informed and have a say on projects and activities that are important to them, or which have an impact on their daily lives. Council has developed a Community Engagement Framework which demonstrated the District Council of Grant's commitment to proactively engage the community, and strengthen relationships to build a greater understanding of community needs and views to assist with making informed and transparent decisions.

Council engage with the community via multiple platforms including social media (Facebook and Instagram), printed media, public meetings/workshops, newsletters, informal conversations and a dedicated online community engagement website; Your Say DCG.
