The Community Grant Scheme offers two rounds per year to support community groups develop projects and events that enhance community wellbeing and increase participation in social and leisure activities. Hall committees can apply for up to $1,000, Sporting Clubs up to $800 and Community Groups up to $2,500.
Examples of recently funded projects through Round 1 include audio visual equipment at the Mount Gambier Italo Club, seats along the bike path at Tarpeena, a new elliptical trainer at Carpenter Rocks and new shade and powerpoints to support the Mil Lel Show.
Grants are open from Monday 28 October 2019 and close Friday 13 December 2019 with successful applicants notified in early 2020.
